Women’s Climbing Development Program at Stronghold
Full Send Project is a small-group women’s climbing development program offered by Women’s Adventure Network in partnership with Calgary Climbing Centre – Stronghold.
Through Stronghold’s Adult Development Teams program, participants will learn how to build strength, technique, and confidence through intentional training, community support, and consistent practice.
What Is Adult Development Team?
The Adult Development Team blends technical training with regimented strength and conditioning routines. Work with a coach to correct technical errors and build the strength you need to improve performance on your projects. Intense efforts in both bouldering and sport climbing will be explored as participants cycle through technique, conditioning, endurance, strength, power and stamina phases.

This climbing training program is designed for women who:
Want to become stronger, more confident climbers
Are ready for intentional, structured climbing progression
Want to improve technique, movement, and mental resilience
Value community, encouragement, and shared growth
Want to support and uplift other women in the climbing gym
Who Is Eligible?
This opportunity is ideal for women who:
Can top rope belay and climb C3 or 5.10
Complete attendance of eight training days starting March 4th (Wednesdays evenings & Sunday afternoons)
Can commit to hosting one activity for WAN within three months after course completion
Align with WAN’s values of community learning and peer leadership

What Is Covered?
Thanks to the generous donations of WAN friends, Full Send covers the following costs:
Course fee for 5 women
- Non-transferable 1-month pass to Stronghold for the participants
What Is Not Covered:
- Climbing gears (harness, climbing shoes, belay device)
- Transportation
- Registration fee: $25
A Give-Back Commitment
This course is subsidized thanks to funding WAN’s friends.
In return, selected participants are asked to:
- Host (or co-host with a WAN volunteer) one climbing activity for WAN within 3 months of completing the course.
- You won’t be expected to teach. The goal is create a supportive environment for others who are stepping out of their comfort zone.
