Climb With Courage

A Two‑Day Confidence‑Building Climbing Series for Women

Climb with Courage is a volunteer‑led, beginner‑friendly climbing series designed to help women build the mindset, skills, and community support needed to feel strong—on the wall and beyond it. Whether you’re brand new to climbing or returning after time away, this series creates a welcoming space to learn, grow, and rise together.

Over two days, we blend foundational skill‑building with the mental side of climbing: managing fear, trusting your body, and developing the confidence to move with intention. With guidance from experienced volunteer climbers, you’ll explore mindful techniques, practice foundational skills, and connect with a community that cheers for every step of your progress.

What to Expect

Day One: June 3, 6:30 PM at Rocky – Indoor Foundations

We begin indoors, focusing on the headspace of climbing and the fundamentals that help you feel grounded. You’ll warm up together, share favourite exercises, and—if you choose—practice falling and belaying in a supportive environment. We’ll explore catch dynamics, confidence on the wall, and the small mindset shifts that make a big difference.

Day Two: June 7 – Cragging Day

Next, we take those insights outside for a relaxed day of sport climbing at the crag. We’ll review outdoor safety, communication, and best practices before easing into climbing at a comfortable pace. Expect encouragement, shared learning, and plenty of stoke as you build confidence on real rock.

Who This Is For

This series is designed for women who want to:

  • Build confidence in climbing
  • Learn in a supportive, low‑pressure environment
  • Connect with a community of women who uplift each other

Gears

Harness, climbing shoes, and belay device. Gym pass and rentals apply.

Volunteer‑Led, Community‑Driven

Climb with Courage is led entirely by volunteers who are passionate about creating accessible, inclusive spaces for women in climbing. Our volunteers are experienced climbers but are not certified guides or professional instructors. Our role is to share knowledge, support your growth, and help you feel supported on the wall.

On Risks & Hazards

As with all climbing, indoors or outdoors, there are inherent risks. These may include slips, trips, and falls; falling from a height; overhead hazards; uneven or unstable terrain; human error; changing weather conditions; running water; vehicle transportation; or equipment‑related incidents. Participants are responsible for assessing their own comfort levels and making decisions that feel safe for them throughout the event.

We work together to create a supportive, safety‑minded environment, but Women’s Adventure Network cannot be held liable for accidents or injuries that may occur.

Attendance to both days is ideal but not mandatory. Spots are limited to 6 participants.
